A Mechanical and Electrical Contractor based in Co. Down currently has a vacancy for a Senior Mechanical Estimator, which is a permanent opportunity.

Reporting to the Head of Mechanical Services:

• Working within a mechanical estimating team looking to win contracts up to £3M


• Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from plumbing and HVAC specialists


• Liaise with other members of the estimating team and senior management


• Take-off measurements


• Dealing with enquiries


• Dealing with technical queries

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally have a mechanical engineering background


• Previous estimating experience within a mechanical environment


• Good team player


• Excellent communications skills


• Previous estimating software essential

Ideally, the client is seeking to appoint an estimator at a senior level. Applicants with 2 years+ experience will also be considered.

Applicants with large-scale commercial experience will be at a distinct advantage.

The right person for this role will have a proven background in Mechanical Estimating for a Building Services contractor and be well versed in client facing and negotiation, with the desire to grow and succeed within the role.
