CSR Construction have been nominated to source and select a Buyer an engineering organisation in Co. Antirm.  This successful Buyer will be joining an team to assist in ensuring that relevant direct and indirect materials and services are purchased at the most competitive price consistent with the required quality and provide general company wide purchasing assistance as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• To support the Purchasing Manager in all aspects of the Purchasing function
• To ensure that specified procedures are followed and that appropriate accurate records are maintained
• To continually seek opportunities for cost reduction and improvements in purchasing procedures in line with company's strategic growth plans
• To purchase mild steel, stainless steel and other products related to the architectural metalwork industry i.e. small power tools and associated steel fabrication consumables
• To develop strong supplier partnerships that yield products that meet the company quality requirements as well as production delivery schedules and cost
• To liaise with the Design, Production and Site Teams to obtain and communicate timely information relevant to delivery times and pertinent to the products required
• To attend production meetings when required
• To carry out any other duties as required by Management

The Person:

• A self motivated individual who possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to work to challenging deadlines under pressure
• An individual who will represent the best interests of the company at all times in a professional and positive manner
• Must set an example on behaviour, attendance, safety, fairness etc.
• Must provide an environment where their team will be encouraged to become involved, accept responsibility and perform to the required standards
• To prioritise work and use own initiative
• To manage and continually improve own performance
