Civil Site Supervisor CL2 (Level E)
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for performing duties within their voltage level approvals, ranging from Low Voltage (LV) to Medium Voltage (MV). They will oversee the execution of tasks as directed by the Person Issuing Work (PIW), ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently. They will manage the DWA and/or Segregated Site when required. They will ensure ESBN procedures for working around live electricity are adhered to by site team. Additionally, they will be responsible for requesting and receiving permits to work, as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
· Client Focused with the ability to have a proactive approach to health and safety.
· Development and implementation of Safety documentation including Construction Phase plans, Site Quality Plans and Risk Assessments / Method Statements.
· Undertake inspections in line with accepted quality control standards.
· Management/supervision of all associated project Temporary Works.
· Review civil design for constructability & liaise with civil design department in regard to alternate design, installation methodologies, materials.
· Reduce all construction associated costs where applicable.
· Planning and programming of current and future works.
· Material Management.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification:
· Current ESBN authorisation as CL1/CL2 Civil Team Lead.
· Previously authorisation to Level E PICW with ESBN.
· Leadership skills and ability work within a team.
· Skill in organising resources and establishing priorities.
· Ability to work within budget and to program timescales
· An extensive knowledge of construction methodologies within the Electricity Sector.
· Civil Construction experience.
· Competency to work in Substations 38kV to 400kV inclusive
· Qualified to a suitable level in Construction, Mechanical Engineering or an Electrical Engineering discipline.
· Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety and Environment.
· IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Full Driving License and willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
· IOSH Managing Safety In Construction or equivalent training.
· CSCS Location of Underground Services (LUGS) trained.
· Temporary Works Supervisor/Co Ordinator trained.
