Commercial Bid Manager - Banbridge

A Specialist Contractor in Offsite Prefabrication & Decarbonisation has a new opportunity for a Commercial Bid Manager to join the team.

The key aim for the successful candidate within this role will be to help strategically target relevant future opportunities and engage with the relevant teams through the BID process to develop and submit a winning proposal.

The tenders we are currently involved in typically range in value from £1 - £15 million pounds and have a delivery period of between 12 - 24 months.

Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes.


  • The ideal candidate will have experience of bid campaign management from opportunity identification, through setting out and delivering opportunity overviews and engaging with the wider teams to present and review the opportunity in order to agree a Bid / No Bid outcome.
  • Once it has been agreed to proceed with an opportunity, they will have the confidence to engage with the wider teams and identify the input required from each department along with timelines for same to ensure they can pull together and present a winning proposal.
  • They will be an excellent communicator, meticulous and structured in their approach with the ability to schedule a prioritise both their own and their teams work to ensure deadlines are met.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years office-based experience in a bid's role
  • Previous experience in preparing and submitting tender bids within the construction sector for public sector works.
  • Computer literate with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written English language skills.
  • Organised and structured approach to work with an ability to manage workloads.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Excellent Communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word.
