CSR is working with a well-established Building Contractor in Co. Tyrone that is wishing to recruit a Construction Buyer.

This growing company focuses on construction of new build commercial, housing and mixed buse developments across throughout NI & the UK.

What is expected of you?

• Support the development of the sourcing strategy to shape purchasing decisions of construction goods, materials and services
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the buying department of the supply chain
• Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers to achieve the best prices.
• Supplier review, selection and management of performance
• Supplier reporting & analysis on performance and cost saving
• Analysis of market to ensure optimum supplier selection

Essential Criteria:

• Experience as a buyer in the construction industry is a necessary (minimum 1-2 years' experience)
• Expert knowledge of supplier selection, management and negotiation
• Experience of working autonomously and able to meet and exceed targets
• Strong experience with continuous improvement and innovation across a buying department
• Excellent communication skills
• Ideally experience buying materials, goods and services in residential or commercial builds and working with leading experts in their field of construction and engineering.
