Electrical Design Engineer (Building)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION –

CSR are working on behalf of one of Northern Irelands leading engineering consultants to recruit an electrical design engineer to aid them in their current and upcoming projects.

Based in Belfast, this is a great opportunity for an electrical design engineer to join a firm who have a history list of multi-million pound building projects including shopping centres, education houses, retail showrooms and residential builds.
The variation of projects across all boards will enhance the skill set and the individual’s ability to work on different types of buildings and works.

INTERMEDIATE level  – The firm is looking for an experienced and self-motivated electrical engineer to work on and support their industry-leading products and projects.
The ideal candidate will excel at problem solving and will be capable of working through technical challenges on a day to day basis. 

DUTIES:

Ø  Perform detailed calculations establishing standards and specs

Ø  Provide expertise in electrical service design concepts

Ø  Evaluate electrical systems, products and applications by applying knowledge of electricity and materials

Ø  Assure product quality through suffice testing methods as well as testing finished products

Ø  Maintain product and company reputation

Ø  Contribute to team effort by completing related results

Ø  Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the problem arises

Ø  Keeping up to date with latest technical innovations in electrical engineering

Ø  Regular meetings with staff for reviewing

Ø  Assist Senior Electrical engineer when required

Ø  Maintain confidentiality when required

Ø  Adhere to health and safety regulations

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS (not essential):

Ø  Experienced using Revit

Ø  Degree in relevant field – (If appropriate experience is evident, those without a degree will be considered)

Ø  Negotiable dependant on experience
