Electrician

To work as part of a team of 6 trades personnel (Plumbers, Gas Engineers), the Electrician will be responsible for all domestic electrical works associated with the central heating installation of 1 property per day.

Main Duties / Accountability

 

  • All electrical duties commonly associated with a domestic central heating installation.
  • To work with other team members and provide a courteous and considerate service to members of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and their tenants.
  • To travel to designated properties within the greater Belfast and Antrim Area.
  • To liaise with occupiers of designated properties to carry out defects work to the Clients satisfaction
  • To liaise with Office staff, and Field Ops Managers in order to efficiently progress the defects completion
  • Maintain and care for all company tools
  • Full completion of all electrical certification and bench marking
  • Maintain and care for all company tools
  • To use appropriate safety equipment and wear appropriate clothing / uniform provided.
  • To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day
  • To be responsible for & take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
  • Material co-ordination
  • Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site based documentation electronically or paper based as per requirements of the contract.
  • Carry out works as directed by the Field Ops Manager to agreed quality standards
  • Undertake all work to a high standard with minimal risk to Health and Safety
  • Ensure that controlled documents are recorded appropriately (Electrical certs etc.)
  • Any other reasonable management request

Criteria

Experience

·         Domestic electrical heating installations

·         Working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.

·         Relevant domestic experience Social Housing Sector.

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Self-motivated

·         Flexible & adaptable

·         Good verbal & written communication

·         Ability to work on more than one project at a time

Education / Qualifications

·         City & Guilds Electrical Installation

·         Inspection & Testing 2391

·         Valid CSCS card

·         17th Edition

·         Full clean Driving license

·         Relevant H&S Qualification (IOSH)
