Estimator

CSR are working with an award-winning project management, commercial fit-out and bespoke joinery company that hold extensive experience across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Over the last 65 years our client has gained an excellent reputation for delivering craftsmanship to the highest calibre through their fit-outs and bespoke joinery. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Estimator join the team.

Role

As Estimator you will reporting Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for successful delivery of estimating function, developing contacts/ relationships with potential customer base. In addition to:

• Client/professionals liaison
• Negotiation
• Ensuring competitiveness
• Team leadership

Responsibilities

• Pro-active approach to creation of tender opportunities through existing contacts or by referral.
• Assisting in PQQ submissions where required.
• Assessment of tender documentation.
• Co-ordination of detailed enquiries/assessment of quotations.
• Preparation of pricing schedules/bill of quantities where required.
• Detailed estimating of projects.
• Delivery of estimate and proposals for sum-up leading to tender submissions.
• Post tender involvement on successful projects in association with Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors along with liaison/negotiation with clients and client’s representatives.
• Be willing to travel to meetings in UK (and Europe) as required.
• To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards.
• Good record keeping for reference points on subsequent related projects.
• Follow up – establishing competition and their levels of submission for record purposes.
• Any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post which the Company deem to be within the post holder’s competence.

Required Criteria  

• HND/Degree in Building/Quantity Surveying.

Essential Experience/Skills

• Considerable experience Estimating, Fit out projects (5 years)
• Conquest or similar computerised system
• Microsoft office suite
• Strong Negotiation, communication & presentation skills
• A Proactive and organised approach with ability to works on strict deadlines within a fast / dynamic environment
• Excellent commercial acumen
