Estimator - Joinery/ Fitout

A leading Fitout company based in Northern Ireland has a new opportunity for a Fitout/ Joinery Estimator to join its commercial team.

This is a great opportunity for an Estimator to further their career within a very reputable, high end specialist Fitout organisation, that prides itself in staff and customer satisfaction levels, turnover, and projects successfully delivered.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the cost creation and quoting of multiple enquiries / projects
• Customer/Site visits, measurements and photography to established a detailed understanding of clients requirements and needs
• Preparation of company quotes and tender packages, accounting for machining timings, material costs and labour
• Regular meetings with the internal design/manufacturing team and management to discuss new projects, design and cost
• Understanding detailed working drawings from architects and designers, all aspects of manufacturing, workshop construction and installation
• Negotiate valuations and final pricing, ensuring work won is at a profitable margin for the company
• Ensuring all costs are tracked and validated with accurate recording of information on internal databases
• Responsible for key supplier liaison and external pricing in line with project/costing needs
• Promotion and development of the company's sales and advertising

Skills

• Previous experience in similar role is required
• Being able to liaise with and understand the client's perspective and needs
• Able to work well under your own initiative and self- motivated
• Attention to detail is essential
• Working to strict deadlines
• Innovative thinker for new processes, selection of materials and methods
• Able to read and interpret technical/architect drawings and specifications
• Fitout or joinery industry knowledge or similar, such as construction
• Friendly, approachable and articulate
• Must be able to work as part of a small, close and productive team
• Full driving licence required
