Façade Designer

Location:              County Armagh

Salary:                   £40k - £45k Plus additional benefits

Role:                      Office based (Predominately)

Responsibilities & Duties:

·         Produce high quality general arrangement drawings efficiently

·         Prepare fabrication drawings in conjunction with location drawings

·         Produce glass & fixing schedules as and when requested

·         Liaise with architects and main contractors

·         Attend co-ordination meetings

·         Produce details with commercial consideration

·         Identify variations to contract during design process

·         Maintain a register of drawings issues, including date issues and current revision of IRS form

·         Ensure compliance with CDM regulations

·         Comply with any objectives/targets/KPIs given

·         Complying at all times with company Fair Employment policies

Essential Criteria:

·         Proficient in AutoCAD

·         Experience in curtain walling, windows and doors, shop fronts, glazing systems, frameless bolted glass and roof glazing systems.

·         Demonstrable knowledge and experience of APS & Metal Technology aluminium glazing and curtain walling systems

·         Working knowledge of the construction industry

·         Problem solving

·         Ability to research and develop products

·         Working along and within a team

·         Time management

·         Client facing communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

·         Relevant 3^rd level qualification in construction or design related discipline

·         Logical software experience would be advantageous
