Reporting to the Managing Director duties will include:

• Ensuring a safe workplace environment without risk to health
• Ensuring that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated
• Ensuring the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
• Ensuring the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations
• Ensuring that all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented
• Ensuring that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities
• Co-ordinating the development of health and safety policies, systems of work and procedures.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
• NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent
• Good knowledge of construction activities and processes
• Experience of working under Safe T Cert accredited Health & Safety Management System and of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland legislation
• Experience in promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on large scale construction projects
• Ability to interpret and provide advice on health, safety and risk management issues
• Experience of working in a fast paced and busy environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Full driving licence
