Our client, a civil engineering and utilities company, are currently looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be based out of their head office in Belfast.

Location: Belfast

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Main Responsibilities:

Ensuring company Health & Safety policies are implemented and adhered to

Carry out safety inspections on site (checking correct PPE worn, plant certificates, CSR cards etc)

Investigate accidents, incidents and near miss events

Producing reports to coincide with inspections

Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements

Review relevant company and subcontractors paperwork

Prepare information for regular site bulletins

Prepare legislation updates and advisory memos for the site management team and operatives

Organise employees training courses

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 or 4 years’ H&S experience gained in construction or a construction related discipline

Should have either an IOSH managing safely certificate or NEBOSH construction certificate.

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety on site.

Previous experience in a similar role and the ability to adapt to the specialisms that the company works in.

9001, 14001 and 18001 Knowledge and experience.

Other registrations are desirable e.g Achilles, Considerate Constructor etc

Demonstrate strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
