Role: Installation/ Service Engineer (Automatic Door & Access Control)

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 (DOE)

Location: Belfast

Contract: Permanent

Our client who is based in Belfast has been recognised as leading specifier and supplier of architectural ironmongery, electronic access control systems and door automation to the construction industry in Northern Ireland.

Due to growth in their Access Control and Door Automation Department, they now require an Installations / Service Engineer to join their busy team based in Belfast and working across NI.

This role involves carrying out the maintenance, repairs and installation of access control systems and automatic doors for customers across private and public sectors, consisting of new installations, planned preventative/scheduled maintenance and unscheduled emergency repairs to products which include:

• Automatic Door Operators (Sliding and Swing)
• Electric Locking
• Access Control Systems

Requirements

• Good mechanical and electronic aptitude
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Experience using access control software and word packages
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines - good time keeping essential
• Work on your own initiative and manage sites with a can-do attitude.
• Diligent with health and safety 

Applicants should ideally be from an Access Control or automatic door background, candidates with electro-mechanical experience, with a minimum of 3 years working on such equipment would also be considered. 

Skills and knowledge:

• Fault finding on electrical systems
• The ability to read electrical drawings
• Good organisation and communication
• Completion of BS7036 course is not essential but would be advantageous
• A CSR card
