Summary Description

CSR are currently working alongside one of Northern Ireland’s leading building and construction consultancies based in Belfast with the aim to recruit a professional Quantity Surveyor to aid them with their new, exciting projects.
CSR require an individual who is willing to challenge themselves with enhancing the value for money as well as the efficiency of their multi-million pound projects. In parallel, the role will include responsibility for ensuring the project has met all legal and quality requirements and regulations.

As one of the leading Building and Construction consultancies, our client has settled various recognisable projects including a 40 million pound project of a new college/further and higher education building, providing a huge area of brand new accommodation.

Other educational projects include a large 6 figure new build project on an Educational Building in Belfast for the boarding of their students.

Also among the vast list of projects, is a 14 million pound development for the regeneration of one of Belfast’s landmark buildings, a project that has been widely regarded as one of Northern Irelands most prestigious apartment schemes.

This consultancy is also lead consultant on the development of what’s to be the largest hotel in Northern Ireland as well as starting work on a world famous Irish whiskey distillery.

Tasks and Responsibilities

·         Estimate materials, time and labour costs for the project

·         Preparation of contract documents such as bills of quantities (Client and architect)

·         Negotiate and analyse costs for tenders and contracts

·         Manage Risk, Value and Cost Control

·         Analyse potential and actual outcomes

·         Produce details findings and progress reports

·         Value finished product, further arranging payments

·         Awareness and implementation of Health and Safety Regulations

Qualifications

·         Quantity Surveying Degree

·         3-4+ Years’ experience
