Role:                            Junior Buyer

CSR is recruiting for a Buyer for a Construction Contractor in the Belfast area. The role has become available due to winning work throughout 2022 so they require another professional in their buying department.

With projects across the board in the Commercial, Industrial and Public sectors they now require a Junior Buyer with experience in the construction industry who can add value to their long running company and join their current team of professionals.

As a Junior Buyer you will work as part of a highly motivated procurement team on a range of bespoke projects. You will report directly to the Procurement Manager and assist on all aspects of the procurement process. Some of the day-to-day duties will include: 

• Assist with tenders and quotes
• Negotiating on pricing with suppliers
• Resolve disputes
• Attend monthly meetings
• Prepare and submit monthly budget reports
• Manage suppliers

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience of working within a procurement role. 
• Ideally from a fit-out or manufacturing background.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team in a fast paced in environment.
• Proficient use of Microsoft office packages.
