The opportunity

There is an opportunity within this NI M&E company for an M&E CAD technician/Mechanical Designer, to help in the design team with some great projects In Northern Ireland. With a team of designers already in place, the opportunity is for somebody with a few years’ experience to come in at a junior/intermediate level and be involved in various D&B projects.

2D/3D CAD required, and if you have any experience in BIM/Revit that will be a bonus!

The Client:

Their continued growth picked up again shortly after lockdown as they still possessed a busy order book, and continue to win work across the province. This role is immediately active and they would wish to begin interviewing as soon as possible, with the view to bringing someone on ASAP as well.

As M&E CAD Technician you will have the following responsibilities:

Ø  Produce CAD drawings to the company's CAD standards.

Ø  Plot drawings using the companies top of the range facilities.

Ø  Liaise with the CAD Manager and project team for any CAD related issues.

Ø  Liaising with lead project engineer and project team

Ø  Ability to learn and adapt where/when required

Ø  Take full advantage of in house training when provided

Ø  Mechanical design, Co-ordination and as installed drawings

Qualifications and Skill:

Ø  As a successful candidate you will join the team as a permanent member of staff and be part of an ambitious and forward-thinking team.

Ø  Good knowledge of Mechanical building services.

Ø  Appropriate knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2D and 3D operation and drawing standards.

Ø  Preferably a working knowledge of MEP REVIT. (Future in-house training will be provided so not absolutely essential)

Ø  Knowledge of UK Standards and Specifications

Requirements:

Ø  The successful candidate must have a passion for building engineering and prove the ability to work in a team to achieve fantastic results.

Ø  Minimum 2 years’ experience

Ø  Ability to work off own initiative
