We are seeking a Mechanical Pipefitter (Qualified Plumber) for a major mechanical installation. This role focuses on the assembly and installation of primary heating, cooling, and process pipework.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipe Installation: Fitting carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper pipework for LPHW and chilled water systems.
- Plant Room Layout: Positioning and connecting pumps, boilers, and heat exchangers as per mechanical drawings.
- Bracketry: Fabricating and installing heavy-duty pipe supports and unistrut frames.
- System Integrity: Conducting hydrostatic pressure tests and ensuring all joints are leak-free.
Requirements
- Qualification: Fully qualified Plumber/Pipefitter with 2+ years of post-apprenticeship experience.
- Experience: Proven background in industrial or large-scale commercial mechanical projects.
- Certifications: Valid Safe Pass ticket.
- Manual Handling: In-date certificate (Training can be provided if necessary).
- Tools: Decent set of hand tools and a few power tools
- PPE: Must have own standard PPE (Hard hat, High-vis, Steel-toe boots).
- Skillset: Proven ability to follow complex safety instructions and work within a highly regulated, high-quality finish environment.
