Mechanical Site Foreman

Location: Wicklow, Ireland

Our client is a leading mechanical engineering contractor operating across Ireland, directly employing 80 highly skilled professionals. They now require mechanical Foreman for their large-scale project in Wicklow.

Responsibilities:

·         Manage and coordinate daily activities of the mechanical trades on site.

·         Provide leadership to the team, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and to a high quality.

·         Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure project requirements are met.

·         Ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

·         Manage material and equipment deliveries and usage on site.

·         Monitor progress and productivity, providing regular reports to the Project Manager.

·         Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

·         Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

·         Support training and development of staff on site.

Requirements:

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Site Foreman, with a plumbing background.

·         Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience managing teams.

·         Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, installation methods, and standards.

·         Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

·         Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.

·         Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.

·         Relevant industry qualifications such as Safe Pass and relevant trade qualifications.
