Detailed Job Specification 

Job Role – Newly Qualified Accountant

Location – Co. Tyrone 

Working Hours – Monday to Friday; Full time 

Salary – £32k - £35k

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is recently qualified as an accountant to step into an industry role. Our client is offering an industry leading package to attract high calibre professionals. 

Our client is a well-respected and nationally renowned construction company with strong routes in property investment and building construction contracts.

Due to continued growth in their Finance Department, they are seeking to bring in a Newly Qualified Accountant to report directly to the Finance Manager.

 

Your primary responsibility will be preparing accounts, quarterly budgets for Investment and development Property Companies and to provide financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data & preparing reports.

 

Required Responsibilities for the Role;

• Prepare year end accounts for property, investment and development companies before they are forwarded on to the auditors and tax advisors of the company. 

• Manage the year end accounting process, liaising with other accountants and external advisors to ensure the timely and accurate recording of the companies records.

• Review Corporation Tax returns. 

• Prepare and review UK/ROI Vat Returns/ RTD. 

• Tag accounts and Prepare Financial Statements for filing with Companies House and HMRC to strict legislated deadlines through the relevant accounting software. 

Essential Criteria for the Role;

• Newly qualified as a Chartered Accountant through ACA/ACCA or CIMA.

• Great level of communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey financial reports effectively to management. 

• A well organised individual with strong multi-tasking capabilities. 

• Ability to work well using initiative, problem solving ability.

• Ability to work to deadlines individually and as a member of the finance team. 

• Ability to demonstrate commitment, hard-work, enthusiasm and flexibility in work. 

• IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially strong ability in Microsoft Excel. 

• Thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys new challenges on the job. 

• Experience with the relevant accounting software packages. (See desirable criteria for more detail). 

Desirable Criteria for the Role; 

• Experience with DREAM, Sage Accounts Production and Sage Accounts Productions Advanced would be an advantage however not essential.
