Pilot Plant Operative

 

Pilot Plant Operator Scope

 

·         The pilot plant operator is to be capable of completing laboratory experiments in the form of: 

·         Coagulant / Polyelectrolyte jar testing for application to the pilot plant

·         Treated Water Analysis

·         Sludge analysis

·         Data collection, interpretation and analysis

·         Technical Report completion on data analysis

·         Presentation of results 

·         Reporting 

·         The pilot plant operators will report to the NI Water Investment Management - Water Efficiency and Innovation Manager.

·         Monthly ‘round table’ collaborative review meetings will be required to present results to the project team.

·         Points to Note 

·         Where required, a pilot plant operator may be required to work outside of normal working hours. This will be dictated by NI Water and will be subject to statutory employment regulations and employers’ employment contractual obligations. 

·         the pilot plant is automated and will generally run in full automation mode. If the pilot trips outside of normal working hours (8am to 4:30pm), the pilot plant operator may be required to attend site and investigate the fault. 

 

·         You will be provided with a laptop and any specialised software which is be job specific.

·         You will report directly to Northern Ireland Water’ Innovation Manager.

·         You will have an entitlement to 20 days’ annual holiday as well as 12 statutory holidays. Holiday period will run from April to March. All annual holiday entitlement must have prior management approval.

·         You shall avail of business fuel allowance.

·         Operational requirements of the business may dictate that working outside normal hours is necessary from time-to-time.

·         One Year Fixed Term Contract, with a 6-Month Probationary Period.

 

 

 

Expected duties for this role will include the following:

 

·         Work with Northern Ireland Water Innovation Team.

·         Carry out site surveys and reports as per clients’ expectations. A PREDETERMINED/SPECIFIED PILOT PLANT ONLY.

·         Manage water quality trials and various quality and treatment inspections as per the client’s requests.

·         Ensure standards are met and paperwork is compiled appropriately.

·         To help improve efficiency, productivity and profitability.

·         To drive and implement quality standards for all aspects of the company.

·         To ensure quality of workmanship.

·         To contribute to the development of relevant working procedures.

 

·         To ensure customer satisfaction.
