Pre-Construction Civil Engineer

Due to continuous growth, CSR are currently working on behalf of an established Northern Ireland civil engineering contractor to recruit for a new role of Pre-Construction Engineer

With a reputation for delivering quality project on time and within budget, this contractor is renowned for its involvement in major enabling schemes, road work construction, bridge works and infrastructure.

Based out of the Greater Belfast area the successful candidate will be reporting to and assisting the Commerical Director with preparation and delivery of tender documentation on a wide variety of Civil Engineering projects.

 

Job Duties: The following reflect the main duties associated with this role and are not intended to be exclusive and exhaustive:

·         Deliver technical submissions for prequalification’s and tenders  

·         Prepare tender programmes and traffic management plans for tender submissions

·         To review contract documents

·         To research information for submissions

·         To manage inputs from a variety of internal stakeholders

·         To carry out risk tracking and management throughout the bid process

·         To provide presentations to clients

·         To undertake any other reasonable duties

 

Essential Criteria

·         A degree (or equivilant) in Civil Engineering or construction related discipline

·         Previous bid experience and project delivery experience on a range of Civil Engineering projects

·         Previous experience of MS Project and AutoCAD

·         Good communication and negotiation skills

·         Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload

·         Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment

·         Ability to write detailed, high quality technical responses

·         Driving Licence
