The CSR Group are working with a UK leading Specialist Joinery and Fit Out Manufacturer who, due to recent award wins and upcoming major extension plans are looking for an experienced production manager to join their senior management team and take on overall responsibility for the 40 operative production value stream within the organisation

You will be responsible for the detailed planning and overall organisation of manufacturing in the workshop to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, unit costs and project requirements.

This is a fast paced and dynamic environment, you must be both commercially and solutions focused with an ability to adapt and prioritise a complex workload.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage Operational Tracker for all live and pending projects
• Ensure approved information is issued to production in a timely manner to meet required delivery dates
• Provide updates daily to clients via email and phone
• Meet weekly with fit-out Project Managers & Operations Manager to go through manufacturing progress
• Check procurement schedules for errors and completeness prior to handover and troubleshoot any procurement issues whilst jobs are in manufacture
• Determine labour resources required with factory area team leader
• Analyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process
• Manage production budgets against tendered budgets
• ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including sales, procurement, distribution, installation and management

Education and Experience

• 3+ year’s knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
• 3+ year’s knowledge & experience of quality systems and standards
• 3+ year’s knowledge & experience of health and safety standards and compliance
• 3+  year’s knowledge & experience of business, finance and management principles
