Job Title: Project Manager – Educational Construction Project

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee the construction of a large-scale educational building in County Galway. This landmark development will deliver a modern, high-quality learning environment and will play a key role in supporting the region’s growing educational needs.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, programmes, and budgets
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations, planning requirements, and health & safety legislation
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
- Manage procurement processes and contract administration
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met throughout construction
- Oversee commissioning, snagging, and final handover
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in construction project management
- Proven experience managing large-scale public or educational infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction regulations and procurement processes
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Full, clean driving licence
