About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee the construction of a large-scale educational building in County Galway. This landmark development will deliver a modern, high-quality learning environment and will play a key role in supporting the region’s growing educational needs.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, programmes, and budgets
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations, planning requirements, and health & safety legislation
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
  • Manage procurement processes and contract administration
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are met throughout construction
  • Oversee commissioning, snagging, and final handover

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in construction project management
  • Proven experience managing large-scale public or educational infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction regulations and procurement processes
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Full, clean driving licence
