Job: Quality Manager

Salary: £30k-£40k

Working Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm/ Friday 8am -4pm

The CSR group are currently working on behalf of one of the industry leaders in the construction sector, specialising in providing vital foundations, ground improvements and precast concrete structures throughout the UK and Ireland. We are now recruiting a suitable candidate for the position of Quality Engineer/Supervisor to join our clients expanding Operations and Design Team. The successful candidate will work from the Clients main office based in Co. Armagh

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop a culture where the highest quality standards are embedded with the production facility including training, communicating, checking and traceability in the most efficient manner possible including developing all processes to electronic format with the highest standards of usability for the production team.
  • Successful candidate will develop and manage the quality team in the production facility collating all types of product checks, carrying out analysis of OFI's and formulating processes to eliminate any issues and drive efficiencies.
  • Manage all forms of testing on raw materials, concrete mixes, concrete strengths and all machinery and calibration to ensure the highest standards of product can be produced.
  • Research and develop any new ideas in the developing industry and analyse if they would benefit the company, to develop, draw and specify new moulds and or processes that will improve products and efficiency in the production works, including maintenance programmes.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement in the production facility by contributing to the CI team co-ordinating all oFI's pertaining to the facility recording all data surrounding the OFI and coordinating all forms of improvement and the costs and benefits of all including monitoring all forms of waste and rworks across the facility and products.
  • Provide weekly production figures including waste and reworks for review, discussion and analysis.
  • Following quality standards in accordance with BSI ISO:9001 and BSI CE Mark

Candidate

  • Previous experience in a quality control environment
  • Previous experience in construction - precast products would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Will be an effective team member and have good communication skills, be organised, and able to prioritise tasks in a fast moving manufacturing environment.
  • Will have excellent attention to detail and an ability to interpret and carry out tasks as required.
