A Belfast based subcontractor wishes to appoint Quantity Surveyor to the existing team. 

The Quantity Surveyor Role will include but not be limited to the following:

• Commercial management of projects incl. valuations, variations and agreeing final accounts.
• Management and preparation of Sub-Contractor payments.
• Regular commercial reporting to Senior Management
• Review of contract documents
• Procurement of subcontract packages.
• Reporting on costs to date and forecasting cost to completion.
• Regular communication with clients to advise on all commercial aspects of projects.
• Handling subcontract issues as they arise.
• Attending project progress / commercial meetings

Essential Criteria:

• 3rd level Quantity Surveying qualification with a minimum of 2 years working as a Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator Role.

Or

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating Role.

Also:

• Strong negotiating skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under their own initiative within a team
• Microsoft packages incl. Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Valid clean UK driving license.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience of working as a specialist sub-contractor QS/ Estimator
• Knowledge of the flooring and painting industry will also be an advantage.
