Senior Engineer - Cork

CSR Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer for a Large New development in County Cork. The building Contractor has been operating for over 90 years and has an excellent reputation within the industry. Our client has secured a strong order book for the coming 2 years and with the project starting very shortly. They require a top candidate to add to their management team. A strong proven background is required, with the ability to work in a highly demanding environment essential. This opportunity is permanent with a highly competitive salary + vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Managing a group of engineers.
• Working Closely with the Project Manager.
• Provide timely and accurate reports.
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
• Quality management and BCAR co-ordination
• Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensuring that regulations are adhered to.

Criteria

• 3rd level degree in Engineering(Civil/Structural).
• 5yrs+ experience as a Site Engineer.
• Knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
• Experience with a main contractor on large scale projects.
• Strong setting out experience with GPS. Total Stations, Autocad.
• Proficient IT skills (Excel, Office etc.)
• Excellent Communication skills.
