Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager

An excellent opportunity exists for a Senior Mechanical professional to join a well-established building services contractor. Managing key projects and reporting directly to the Managing Director you have responsibility and accountability for all Mechanical matters on a diverse range of projects.

This challenging role will allow you to manage and lead a team of contracts engineers & installation staff.

 Reporting to director level, you will be responsible for the following:

• To promote, advise, train and consult on all aspects of the mechanical issues within a building services environment
• Improve existing work methods & legal requirements
• To advise from a mechanical aspect on all tendering, planning and pre-contract stages
• Ensuring that site objectives are achieved by providing necessary mechanical initiatives to the management team and follow up on implementation.
• Providing expert advice and assistance to management.
• Work closely with the operational implementation team.
• Building successful relationships with the clients, sub-contractors and consultants 

 Essential Criteria:

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
• Minimum 8 years 'experience in a contracts management/ engineering role responsible for mechanical installation & maintenance contracts
• Building services preferably involved on large-scale commercial projects
• Professional, hardworking & self-motivated attitude
• Attention to detail & high working standards is essential
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills
• Excellent knowledge of building services & best practice
• Well qualified & experienced individual
