CSR are working on behalf of a UK contractor who are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major civil engineering project based in Northern Ireland. You will be working as part of a team who pride themselves on the results they have achieved on many large and small projects throughout the UK. This project is due to run until at least mid-2022.  No travel is required for this role as work is based in NI.

Your new role

As an integral part of the team you will –

·         Ensure that all preparation of costs are within the proposed budget

·         Identify commercial risks and opportunities

·         Attend meetings when required

·         Understand the implications of health & safety

·         Allocate work to subcontractors

·         Value completed work and arrange payments

To be considered for this role you must have a degree or higher education course equivalent which has been accredited by the institute of chartered surveyors. You will ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working on large contracts within civil engineering and a good understanding of valuations and cost management. You will also have strong numerical and be IT literate.

You will get to join a company that work throughout the UK and Ireland on major civil engineering projects. This is an opportunity to work in a role that doesn’t require travel with the work being based in NI.
