My client, a leading specialist contractor based in Co. Down requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work closely with the senior management team.

Joining the organisation as a Senior Surveyor, there is a long-term opportunity to progress within this organisation.

You will be full-time based in NI, with travel required to mainland UK one day per month on average.

Reporting to the Contracts Director you will be responsible for the following:

•  Being able to provide commercial support to the Design team and Contract staff

•  Prepare final accounts and contract charges

•  Prepare valuations for interim application for payment

•  Be able to prepare budget costs and process for contract variations

•  Remeasuring Bills of Quantities

•  Ensuring that contract cashflow is constantly maintained

•  Liaise with Senior Management regarding contract accounts

•  Checking material sizes and quantities for procurement

•  Setting up and maintaining contract files

•  Preparing turnover and profit forecasts

Criteria:

The successful Quantity Surveyor will possess:

•  Strong numeracy & communication skills

•  Degree/ HND in Quantity Surveying

•  Minimum 4 years' experience within the contracting industry

•  Strong commercial acumen

•  Managed packages through to final account

•  Main contracting or subcontracting background
