Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer to join our team for a 200-apartment development project in Dublin City. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the technical aspects of the construction site, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all engineering activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct site surveys, set out, level, and survey the site using appropriate equipment.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays.
  • Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the project specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.
  • Prepare and manage documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to any on-site issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff.
  • Liaise with local authorities, clients, and consultants as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale residential or commercial projects, preferably within urban settings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in surveying equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Station, GPS).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certificates.
