Stakeholder Liaison Officer - Cork

A Leading Construction contractor is excited to be recruiting for a Stakeholder Liaison Officer for a major civils engineering project based in Cork

You will be working with a successful and long-established Building and Civil Engineering company operating in various sectors within Ireland, the UK and wider Europe with over 500 employees.

Role and Responsibilities:

Customer Care & General Community Engagement

-Ensure that communities are engaged in the project plans 

-Coordinate delivery of agreed project communication plans, provide appropriate, timely information to all stakeholders

-Responsibility of implementing Company and bespoke contract customer liaison and care standards

-Be the first line of response for issues of concern, facilitate all enquiry and compliant resolution in a prompt and professional manner

-Monitor usage and logs on the complaints and compliments database

-Prepare advance work notifications and take appropriate action to advise in advance, e.g. letter drops, email, social networking 

-Attend regular public events acting as a representative of project

-Identify and agree requirements and commitments to community engagement / social value activities with the project management team at site set up stage

-Work collaboratively with our clients to ensure that community activities and strategies are developed/delivered exceeding their aspirations

 

Employment & Skills, Wider Social Value Targets and KPI’s

-Co-ordinate delivery of project specific social value requirements

-Engage with local schools, colleges, and employability organisations

 

Experience:

Engaging with the public in a customer facing environment 

Excellent Communications skills with ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely in an engaging style

Proven track record of devising and implementing events, presentations and training

Networking with key community stakeholders and ability to proactively manage contacts 

Excellent IT skills, report writing and presentation skills

Knowledge, interest, or experience of the construction industry

 

Working Conditions:

This is a role requiring a flexible approach to working hours

It will be based at site office in Cork

 

The successful candidate may be expected to travel as part of their role to other construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Management
