An excellent opportunity has arisen in Belfast for a Trainee QS  to join a construction company.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist our commercial team with the execution of commercial, financial and contractual performance management of construction projects.

As part of a team you will assist the Quantity Surveyors in providing accurate, reliable financial and commercial processes and reports and be responsible for day to day commercial and administrative duties. This will include inputting financial and commercial information to produce reports, schedules and charges. Reporting on the costs associated with works such as job margin and cost control. You will also assist with administering the renewal of our sub contractor/ client approval process.

The preferred candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to demonstrate good numeracy skills. Ideally you will have previous administration experience and have a very good understanding of the use of Microsoft Office Packages such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Above all, the preferred candidate should be keen to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), be confident to liaise and build relationships with internal and external contractors and subcontractors.

The role would also be suitable for someone wishing to develop and train as QS as a longterm career goal.
